half way

06-06-2005
Hi All,

after 8 straight days of tracking, my head is more than full! We recorded 14 tracks worth of drums, bass and brian's guitar parts. Now we're going to let it rest for two weeks, before we'll dive in again to finish the guitars and hopefully record the vocals! we'll keep you posted! cheers

Menno Good!

01-06-2005
Hi, Remi reporting from the Bunt's Studio in Utrecht. We've been recording for the past three days, and i must say, it's going pretty good so far! we've recorded 7 tracks already and the rock is definately not left the building. We're glad that we connect very well with producer/engineer Menno Bakker. His help on our holy quest for the rock is more than just valuable and we are happy that we decided to track at his studio! The next couple of days we'll keep on recording the basics for what i hope to be our best album so far, so just keep on believing. Cheers, Green Lizard.

CRAZY WEEKENDS

10-05-2005
Hi All, Remi here. We had a crazy weekend. It started of in Almere where I met my greatest hero of the moment!
SHIN CHAN! He is everything I want to become haha! We had a nice show, but it was obvious we weren't as cool as Kim Lyan haha!
After the gig We made paintings for a good cause! I don't know where to find them, but if you live in almere, I bet you know!

The next day it was off to nijmegen. I love nijmegen, we only have great gigs there, and i kinda grew up in nijmegen when I was a kid. well, I spent all my vacations and weekends there. We played at the Merleyn! It's a great little venue, with really nice people and Nice paintings on the wall. It was a great show for us, even though i wasn't sure if the people liked us this time around. But when the set was done, they wanted us to play more, so we played a song we hadn't played before with the four of us (Under Pressure) and i think it went really well!!! So we are going play that song some more in the future!

After some well deserved RR in the Merleyn, we headed over to Den Bosch, where we crashed at our good friend Muddy's place. But before we went to bed we had a nice MSN Chat session with Jay, who went to his mother's instead.

The Next Morning we had a great rehearsal at the 013 in Tilburg. We wrote two new songs. And one of them we played that night in Belgium.
Yeah it rocks, the songs are almost done (just in time too, we are recording in three weeks...) Belgium was nice, we met some of our truest Belgian fans.
But of course something had to go wrong.. I dropped my Gothic Explorer.. You know the one I just bought... So the paint is gone on some places, and the wood is a bit damaged... But hey, the neck could've been broken or something awful!

We arrived back at muddy's around five in the morning. a couple of hours sleep, and then back to rehearsal! Again a very good rehearsal finished one song, and wrote another!! So that's it for this weekend! see ya soon!

Heemskerk On Fire

25-04-2005
Before I tell you about our show, let me tell you about Cereal. We didn't know what to expect of this band. I downloaded an mp3 from their website, and although it didn't sound to bad, it didn't excite me either. But when they started playing, i couldn't stop listening. They played excellent, great set, GREAT SOUND. If they are playing in your neighbourhood, be sure to check them out!
I was a little nervous going on stage. It had been a while playing live, and i still don't know all the old songs. I mean, I can sing them, and i can play them.. but doing it together is still quite hard. And because we don't have an awful lot of rehearsals before Studio Time, we are concentrating more on new songs than old ones... But as usual, when we finally hit the stage, nothing mattered anymore, we are there just to play Rock! And it worked, i didn't care about the mistakes, as long as we played hard! And then at the end of one of our new songs, it didn't quite rocked as hard as we liked, we just did it again!!! and then it was brilliant :) Also I got to show of my new guitar! It's a black feedbacking monster that goes by the name of Gibson gothic Explorer! I still have to customize it.. i'm going to put a big ass Lizard on it! kill the collectors price tag!!! ok that's it, see you at the show!

Who says playing bars is no fun?

17-03-2005
We had a lot of fun! It was a sunday afternoon, but we played hard... Brian and I got into a guitar collision so my nice SG is scarred now... That kind of sux. I have to get another one, but i don't want to trade in my other guitar. AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY ONE! but hey/// want to see what Ton can do with his weird camera! here's a pic of cooooos!

Battle .01 = Victory

10-03-2005
The show in Wageningen was Great!

It's been a long time since I had so much fun on stage. (i made alot of misstakes though haha). So hopefully we can continue 2 have fun, while making the show even tighter! We had a nice experiment with Turn Around, to have people from the audience sing it instead of me... Maybe we can do that more often. So if you want to sing Turn Around live on stage, don't be embarrased to ask us ok? Also, out of the blue, Jay decided to start singing with turnaround... IT ROCKED! we all sing now! Brian, Jay Roela, and me ofcourse!

here's a pic!
